Spring is upon us and the snow is melting. During this time, we ask community members to contact the Fire Department office to put your name, number and Blue Civic Address down for grass burning around your house and yard.
This will prevent any loss of homes, yard structures, sheds, etc. Should a fire go out of control especially on extremely windy days.
Please refrain from making grass fires and have patience for the fire department to attend to your yard.
Sagkeeng will not be responsible for losses due to grass fires.
