Sagkeeng Health Centre – Jordan’s Principle
Multiple Positions Available
The Jordan’s Principle program is looking for dependable and flexible candidates who are kind, patient, and kid friendly to help provide supervision to children and youth in the community.
DUTIES:
- Provide safe and fun supervision and care to children served, either in-home or at the Jordan’s Principle facility
- Pick up and drop off children before and after scheduled respite care
- Provide children served with a healthy meal during scheduled respite care
- Perform light cleaning duties to maintain clean and safe environment
- Document all activities and events during each shift according to program policy
- Provide regular reports to program supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with, supervising, and/or parenting children of all ages
- Ability and willingness to work with children and youth with disabilities
- Experience providing care and support to persons with disabilities of any age is an asset
- Valid Class 5 MB driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle are required
- Clean and current Vulnerable Sectors check and Child Abuse Registry Check are required
- Training in First Aid/CPR, Food Handler’s, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention is an asset, but training will be provided
Must be willing to obtain Class 4 within first 6 months of employment.
Salary: Starting at $17.00 per hour
