Clinical Services Coordinator
Jordan’s Principle
A Clinical Services Coordinator for the Jordan’s Principle Program performs a variety of tasks, including budget planning, supervision, and coordination of administrative activities in the Sagkeeng Jordan’s Principle Program. The Clinical Coordinator will liaise with internal and external agencies and other professionals to ensure efficient operations and timely provision of resources. Maintaining detailed records, multitasking, and reacting effectively in emergency situations.
DUTIES:
- Oversee day-to-day administrative activities for the Clinical, Medical aspect of the Jordan’s Principle Program.
- Evaluating personnel and preparing daily, weekly, or monthly reports as needed by Program Director, Health Director and/or Chief & Council
- Assisting with recruitment, consenting, screening and enrollment of personnel
- Supervise the Jordan’s Principle Child Development Workers, Rehab Assistant, Nurses and oversee their day to day activities.
- Ensure compliance with rules and regulations and assist with hiring and training new staff.
- Coordinate program visits with therapists and other medical professionals and organizations.
- Intakes for Medical requests.
- Home visits with parents/guardian for their children with medical
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be licensed and practicing as a Practical Nurse in Manitoba
- Minimum 5 years of experience working as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical setting.
- Understanding of workflows, staffing, and equipment requirements to deliver clinical health services and programming.
- Experience delivering a broad range of clinical health services, that includes a wide range of preventative care experience.
- Knowledge of the Jordan’s Principle Program and the First Nations determinants of health.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills that meet deadlines and priorities.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to write clear, concise documents and reports.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate formally and informally with various audiences.
- Must have a demonstrated understanding of First Nation’s culture and traditions.
- Must provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search, and a clear Child Abuse Registry Check.
- A valid class 5 Manitoba driver’s license, with access to a reliable vehicle.
