The Delegates Council have set November 5, 2026, for a Lawmakers Assembly at the Sagkeeng Band Hall.
Agenda includes:
- Introduction of Delegates Council
- Four Councils and Delegates Council Regulation
- Directing Resolutions
- Judicial Council – Expression of Interest
- Electoral Officer – Request for Proposal
- Election Appeal Board
Assemblies are open to all Sagkeeng members.

Sagkeeng Onakonigawin, the Process Law, provides for the development of Laws in writing through the introduction and acceptance of a Directing Resolution at a Lawmakers Assembly. This process includes the amendment of existing Sagkeeng Laws.
Onakonigawin requires the submission of Directing Resolution in a prescribed form. For a copy of Onakonigawin, the prescribed form and submission, or for further information please email Onakonigawin@sagkeeng.ca.
The deadline to submit a Directing Resolution for the November 5, 2026, Lawmakers Assembly is October 23, 2026.

As per Onakonigawin, section VI.1 Lawmakers Assemblies shall convene the first week of February, May, August and November each year on date, at a time and in a place set by the Delegates Council.
