PURPOSE
We are seeking an efficient and effective Tim Hortons Restaurant Manager to lead our team in providing exceptional customer experiences within the Sagkeeng First Nation. This role demands a dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, overseeing daily operations, ensuring top-notch customer service, and maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Service:
- Model and reinforce positive customer service behaviors.
- Address and resolve customer issues promptly.
- Ensure proper staffing levels to meet Tim Hortons’ standards.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Manager to train staff on operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular store assessments and maintain flexibility for troubleshooting.
People Management:
- Encourage open communication and feedback from staff.
- Screen, interview, and onboard new hires.
- Document employee training and provide performance feedback.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation.
- Supervise staff, applying progressive discipline as necessary.
Driving Sales:
- Understand the Always Fresh baking system and adjust production accordingly.
- Ensure proper product merchandising and marketing adherence.
- Promote offerings to local businesses and train staff on suggestive selling.
- Assess store improvement areas and implement staff incentives.
Operational Analysis:
- Ensure accurate cash handling and managing product orders.
- Analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and respond with action plans.
- Complete financial reports and maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Ensure food safety standards and regular equipment maintenance are met.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-2 years of food service management experience required.
- High school diploma or GED (must be at least 18 years old).
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Tim Hortons products and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license (or ability to obtain within six months) and willingness to travel.
- Anishinaabemowin language proficiency and familiarity with Sagkeeng culture are assets.
- Previous experience with First Nations governments or Indigenous organizations is preferred.
- Successful candidates must provide a Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry Check.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
- The successful candidate will be required to attend four (4) weeks of Tim University training in Oakville, Ontario.
